Job Description

Abbott seeks a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the scientific bridge between the company and the laboratory community. The role involves building relationships with laboratory directors, pathologists, and key opinion leaders while advancing adoption of diagnostic solutions across clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with laboratory directors, pathologists, and key opinion leaders
• Lead scientific discussions on diagnostic testing, clinical evidence, and emerging technologies
• Understand customer workflow challenges and opportunities to improve patient outcomes
• Gather and communicate field insights including customer needs and market trends
• Support evidence-generation activities, clinical studies, and publication planning

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years clinical or technical experience in product development or support
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• Master's degree in science or advanced degree (Ph.D., MD, DO) preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory medicine, molecular diagnostics, and clinical workflows
• Strong presentation and leadership skills
• Understanding of medical practice, clinical practice, and laboratory relationships

Compensation: $113,300–$226,700 base
